HEDI Projections

     Projection file (Excel file)
This file contains the updated HEDI projections explored in the book. Each column represents a geographic area as defined in the book. Forecasts are made for large metropolitan areas and the residual non-metropolitan portions of states. Columns headed by state abbreviation correspond to the non-metropolitan portions of those states.  While the file contains projections through the cohort reaching age 18 in 2035, the book focuses on projections through 2034. (See the book for more details.)

The file contains three tabs:
     *All: All students
*by Race-Eth: All students divided by race/ethnicity
*by Parent Ed: All students divided by whether parents’ hold BAs

Each tab contains 21 panels–one for each of 21 projections. (See below for short description and the book for full description.) Because students can and do attend more than one institution type, the sum of subcategories can exceed the total. For example, the sum of projected two- and four-year attenders is greater than the projected number of post-secondary attenders.
